He has served as the director of the Chinese Film Research Office of the Film and Television Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Arts and the deputy editor-in-chief of the Journal of the Beijing Film Academy. He is currently the deputy director of the Film Channel Program Center of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.
