Shortly after, he transitioned into acting, making his debut in the TV series Atami no Sousakan in 2010. Yamazaki is best known for his roles in live-action adaptations of popular manga and anime. Some of his notable works include Your Lie in April (2016), Orange (2015), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I (2017), and Kingdom (2019). He also gained international recognition for his role as Ryōhei Arisu in the Netflix series Alice in Borderland (2020–present).
