Masucci's performance as Rainer Werner Fassbinder in Enfant Terrible (2020) earned him the 2021 German Film Award (Lola) for Best Leading Actor. He also starred as Dr. Josef Bartok in the 2021 film adaptation of Stefan Zweig’s Schachnovelle, Chess Story, a performance that earned him the Bavarian Film Award for Best Actor.
