Graduated from the German department of the philological faculty of Tbilisi State University (1936). In 1927-1934 he was an actor at the Batumi Theater, then at the Georgian State Theater, in 1937-1956 he was a teacher of Russian and German at school, in 1956-1962 he was an actor at the Poti Drama Theater named after V. Gunia, since 1967 - at the film studio "Gruzia-Film" (first major role - Pipinia in the film "Extraordinary Exhibition").
